At the invitation of RC-IRBM, Kaduna, Nigeria, the Director of the WSDAC Centre participated in an online meeting organized to mark the appointment of Assoc. Professor Abduljalal Danbaba as the Director General of the National Water Resources Institute (NWRI), Kaduna, Nigeria. NWRI is the Institutional Host of RC-IRBM, and the DG of NWRI serves as a member of the RC-IRBM Governing Board as well as the Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Regional Centre.
The meeting was chaired by Dr. Omogbemi O. Yaya, Director of RC-IRBM, UNESCO Category II Centre. On behalf of the Permanent Delegation of Nigeria to UNESCO, H.E. Dr. Hajo Sani addressed the participants. Remarks were also delivered by Dr. Abou Amani, UNESCO. The meeting was attended by invited Directors of other Category II Centres (C2Cs) and UNESCO representatives.
